Narthex

Live in an afternoon.

No developers needed. If you can copy-paste a YouTube embed, you can set up Narthex.

1

Add your church's information

Sign in and paste your website URL — we'll pull your service times, location, ministries, and giving info automatically. Or type it in yourself. You review and edit everything before the bot ever sees a visitor.

2

Drop in one line of code

After setup, you'll see a single script tag like this. Copy it and paste it into the footer of your church website — instructions for every major platform are below.

<script src="https://narthex.chat/embed/narthex.js"
        data-church-id="YOUR-CHURCH-ID" async></script>
3

Welcome your visitors — around the clock

The moment the snippet is live, your visitors see a friendly chat bubble. Logistics questions — service times, directions, programs, giving — are answered instantly. Theological questions, prayer requests, and pastoral needs are routed to whichever staff member you designate. Leads and the questions dashboard land in your inbox.

What it won't do — and why that's good.

  • Logistics only — no theologyService times, directions, programs, giving: yes. Theological, doctrinal, or pastoral questions: always routed to a real person, never answered by the bot.
  • Won't make up answersIf something isn't in your knowledge base, it says so and suggests contacting the office directly.
  • Won't replace your teamIt handles the informational load so your people can focus on what only they can do.
  • Won't go off-brandEverything it says comes from information you provide — no hallucinated service times or invented beliefs.
